Their Story...
Q How did you meet your fiancé?
A We met when we were 10 years old at Band camp. Peter and I have been best friends ever since; throughout grade school, high school, and college. We finally started dating in college and were just engaged this past April.
Q What is your proposal story?
A Peter invited me to go with him to Louisiana for his nephew's birthday party. I got to meet his nephew and brother and sister-in-law for the first time. He took me to his grandma's house, where he spent a lot of time growing up. We went outside her house with the beautiful landscaping and he sat me down on the porch swing. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was very simple and romantic, and everything I've ever wanted.
Q What are your plans for after the wedding?
A We plan on continuing to work at our jobs; Peter at the Best Western and me at JL Business Interiors. Our goal is to buy a house before we're 30 and have children, but other than that we'll leave the details of how we get there in God's hands.
