Fletcher Media brought the celebration to life with a dynamic video that highlighted the lively energy of the day, while The Wedding Flashers expertly captured every stunning and colorful detail through their fine art photography.
Drawing from Mexican culture, bold colors, and intricate details, LK Bridal Studio masterfully designed the stationery and signage for this Frida Kahlo-inspired wedding. The invitations featured ornate laser-cut flowers layered over richly colored papers, paired with intricate motifs, vintage fonts, and a floral-patterned envelope liner. The design's thoughtful touches extended to the RSVP cards, menus, and laser-cut name cards, each carrying the theme's vibrant aesthetic.
At the ceremony, guests were greeted by a heartfelt thank-you sign and a framed welcome sign, both in Spanish. The welcome sign was set within an arched tin frame adorned with colorful ceramic tile designs reminiscent of Mexican Talavera.
At the reception, an interactive escort wall stole the show, with red, orange, and yellow laser-cut layers artfully displayed on a rattan screen to guide guests to their seats. Cultural elements continued with creative signage, including table numbers featuring Frida's silhouette in white laser-cut vinyl on terracotta plates and Salsa Bar signs. A Mocktail Bar sign, elegantly tied onto a mobile bar cart, added a playful touch. Additional details, such as cactus favors with laser-cut labels and margarita glasses decorated with leaf accents, seamlessly tied the design together, creating a vibrant and unforgettable atmosphere.
Melody Rose Designs filled every corner of this celebration with beautiful florals bursting with every color of the rainbow. Each arrangement was a work of art, from the ceremony backdrop, repurposed during the reception, to the groom's unique lapel floral, the bride's bouquet and flower crown, centerpieces, accent florals, and beyond. The cohesive and breathtaking display of bold blooms brought the energy and warmth of the day to life!
Olbrich Botanical Gardens was the perfect setting for this Frida Kahlo-inspired celebration. The lush outdoor gardens and tropical feel of the venue perfectly complemented the colorful, bold details of the day while providing countless stunning photo opportunities. With its array of unique flora and exotic atmosphere, Olbrich Botanical Gardens helped bring a piece of Mexico to life right here in Madison, Wisconsin, adding natural beauty that deepened the cultural connection of the wedding.
The bride embodied and celebrated fearless self-expression in her stunning bright red one-shoulder gown, colorful patterned belt, statement earrings, and red heels. Inspired by Frida's iconic look, The Bridal Beauty Team perfected her makeup with a bold red lip. The bride's hair was then styled in a chic updo with loose, face-framing curls adorned with a vibrant flower crown and floral veil.
Dubois Formalwear outfitted the groom in their specialty black velvet Equinox jacket, featuring black embossed paisley velvet and a satin shawl lapel. His look was completed with black pants, black shoes, a white shirt, a red vest, and a red Mexican charro bow tie--an essential element of traditional Mexican groom attire. Vibrant red accents coordinated with the bride's dress, while the luxurious velvet jacket added a refined, sophisticated touch, creating a flashy and classy ensemble.
Kicking off cocktail hour--or rather, mocktail hour--in style, The Mane Tap rolled out their brand-new bar trike, serving up stunning non-alcoholic margaritas and sangrias that looked as good as they tasted and got the party started!
No fiesta is complete without chips and salsa! This salsa bar brought fun and flavor to cocktail hour, featuring a variety of salsas and guacamoles that perfectly paired with The Mane Tap's mocktails.
Velvet Rentals' rustic table and beautiful Las Hermanas Equipale Chairs set the stage for a colorful and cozy sweetheart table. The authentic, handcrafted chairs, straight from Guadalajara, Mexico, added a unique touch of Mexican heritage and enhanced the cultural richness of the celebration.
From the Celeste rug for the ceremony to the stunning peacock chairs, woven rattan room divider for the escort wall, mismatched vintage wood chairs, and more, Velvet Rentals provided a range of carefully curated rental pieces that brought both style and function to every aspect of the day.
Craig's Cake Shop brought a delicious and playful touch to the celebration with a stunning array of cakes and desserts! The focal point was a custom white 3-tier cake, beautifully designed with intricate and colorful floral pattern detailing. A groom's cake also stunned in both beauty and cultural significance. This carefully sculpted and decorated cake took the form of an alebrije, mythical creatures from Mexican folk art that symbolize the country's magic, mystery, and beauty.
Mini key lime pies, cake push-up pops, and fruit-topped cake tacos rounded out the spread of delicious treats, adding an extra layer of fun and flavor to the celebration!
