Verde Eden: Lush Botanical Wedding Inspiration at The Tinsmith in Madison, Wisconsin

Fresh, organic, and undeniably luxurious, Verde Eden brought lush botanical wedding inspiration to The Tinsmith in downtown Madison. Conceived and designed by OSO IN LOVE Wedding & Event Curators, the celebration layered lush greenery, sculptural florals, soft neutrals, and sophisticated details throughout the venue. The result was a botanical wedding aesthetic that felt both grounded and glamorous.

This stunning design was a collaboration of local vendors including OSO IN LOVE Wedding & Event Curators, Blu Photography & Design, Paul F. Gero Photo + Film, Sugar River Stationers, daffodil*parker, Brandi’s Bridal Galleria, Etc., DuBois Formalwear, The Bridal Beauty Team, Event Essentials, The Baked Lab, and models Rosie & Christian from The Rock Agency.

Sugar River Stationers designed a one-of-a-kind, layered stationery suite and coordinating signage pieces for the day. The invitation layered a delicate, laser-cut wooden frame over a white paper with dark green edges.

Additional pieces included a printed envelope with a green wax seal and a details card featuring a dreamy, abstract painting in the background, which was also used as an envelope liner and later on the welcome sign and seating chart. The suite was displayed alongside contour-cut paper leaves, floral pieces, and a thin green ribbon to secure the pieces together.

Located in downtown Madison, The Tinsmith is an award-winning wedding and event venue originally built as a warehouse in the 1930s. Nearly 100 years later, the venue has been modernized into a beautiful, inclusive space with ample room for a ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Venue highlights include vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, a reception hall, a bar with rounded mirrors, and a four-season greenhouse.

The bride model, Rosie, wore a modern, statuesque gown from Brandi’s Bridal Galleria, Etc. The dress featured luxurious draping fabric across the chest, off-the-shoulder sleeves, a structured corset bodice, and a daring leg slit. A sheer veil cape and pearl-edge veil added an extra layer of intrigue at the ceremony. Additional accessories included a trendy green-and-white headband, a pearl necklace, and dainty pearl drop earrings.

The Bridal Beauty Team blended classic and modern for Rosie’s hair and makeup. They added small pops of drama with luminous highlights, warm blush, bold lashes, and a sweet pink lip. Her hair was slicked back into a voluminous low bun.

DuBois Formalwear selected a light taupe suit and coordinating vest for the groom, Christian. He also wore a white dress shirt, a taupe tie, brown dress shoes, and a dark green pocket square.

Florist daffodil*parker combined green protea, white ranunculus, lush hydrangea, textured scabiosa pods, green berries, and sculptural greenery for an organic bridal bouquet with plenty of movement and dimension. The asymmetrical, cascading bouquet was separated into two distinct pieces held together by vining and was meant to be held in one hand down the front or side of the dress.

Christian wore a coordinating wearable floral pinned to his left shoulder, offering a modern, nontraditional alternative to a traditional groom’s boutonniere.

Inside the ceremony space, daffodil*parker added greenery across the ceiling rafters leading down the aisle. A floral backdrop at the end of the aisle also played with textures and heights, with a lush arrangement of greenery defying gravity above the couple. The large centerpiece paired beautifully with grounded, asymmetrical greenery and branches on either side, which included monstera leaves for a tropical, summer twist.

Signage from Sugar River Stationers led the way into The Tinsmith’s reception hall, beginning with a painterly welcome sign surrounded by fresh florals and live plants.

Sugar River Stationers also designed a grand seating chart with a green-painted backdrop. The seating chart also included printed, alphabetical names secured to the base with gold wax seals and layered, contour-cut leaves artfully placed across the side and bottom.

Organic greens continued to shine at the tablescape. The couple posed against a green velvet backdrop at the head table, and green velvet tablecloths adorned every table. Event Essentials played a pivotal role in setting the scene, with notable pieces at the tablescape including Eliza Moss Chargers, Eleanor Fern Dinnerware plating, 15″ Champagne Gold Matte LED Table Lamps, and gold flatware. OSO IN LOVE Wedding & Event Curators provided the lamps above the head table.

The Tinsmith provides full-bar service with its wedding packages. Their lit, Art Deco-inspired bar sits beneath gold chandeliers and is perfect for portraits as well as tasty themed drinks. Sugar River Stationers further enhanced the space with a custom bar menu and contour-cut stir sticks to match the stationery and signage pieces.

The Baked Lab works with couples to create unique and delicious cakes and desserts for any wedding or theme. They brought a three-tier green-to-white ombré cake with minimalist pearl dusting, and a tray of pistachio macarons. The desserts were displayed on a wooden table in the reception area and in the solarium.

The Tinsmith’s four-season solarium is the perfect spot for cocktail hour, to lounge, or to dance the night away. While outside rentals can also be brought in, the space is fully furnished with lounge furniture, café lights, and magnificent foliage. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in natural light from every angle, and string lights keep the space glowing for final dances or off-season events, when sunsets happen earlier.
