About Us
The Goodman Community Center has more than a dozen beautiful, natural light-filled rooms in two modern industrial buildings available for ceremonies and receptions of all sizes. We also provice in-house catering and beverage service. Diversity and inclusion are our top priorities — all are welcolme to celebrate in our great location on Madison’s east side. When you make a room reservation with us, you also support the community. It’s a win-win.
We had the most wonderful experience with our wedding at the Goodman Community Center. The venue itself is stunning — a perfect blend of industrial charm and exposed brick, with gorgeous tall windows that filled the space with natural light. From start to finish, communication was excellent and everything felt organized and seamless.
David, our coordinator whose services were included in the cost of renting the space, was fantastic to work with and made the planning process stress-free. On the day of our ceremony and reception, he went above and beyond and was incredibly attentive, proactive, and made sure everything flowed smoothly so we could simply enjoy the moment.
The catering, provided through the Center’s TeenWorks program, was another highlight. Not only was the food delicious and made in-house, but knowing the program helps teenagers gain valuable life and job skills made it feel even more meaningful to us and our guests.

We held our wedding reception at the Goodman Community Center about a month ago, and we are still beaming about what a wonderful experience it was. The venue itself is beautiful, but it was the staff who truly made our night unforgettable. Over the course of the night, I lost track of how many people came up to me to compliment the food and venue.
From the ceremony to the last dance, Dave was an absolute dream to work with. He was organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our celebration perfect. He went above and beyond, even saving a plate of our favorite appetizers for us when he noticed they were disappearing quickly. It was such a small, thoughtful gesture that meant the world to us.
Our guests are still raving about the incredible bar service, thanks to Desirae. She was one of the most attentive and intuitive bartenders I have ever seen. She anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask and remembered everyone’s drink orders all night long.
We also want to give a huge shout-out to the teen staff members who worked our event. They were professional, attentive, and provided seamless service from start to finish. Their hard work and positive attitudes did not go unnoticed.
