This Wisconsin wedding affair from the lens of Wisconsin wedding photographer, East Elm Photography, is a celebration of local Milwaukee loveliness. Striking a balance of beautiful spring florals, mix n' match navy blue and dusty green bridesmaid fashions, and industrial beauty, every detail is downright gorgeous (including pretty paper goods custom made by the bride) and you can see it all right here.

WEDDING DATE): 4/28/2018

HOW DID YOU MEET? Our sisters are best friends from high school. We originally met at
Missy's sister's wedding. 2.5 years later, Danny finally called and asked Missy out on a
date after some convincing from the sisters.

HOW DID YOU KNOW HE WAS "THE ONE"? He felt like home!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Missy absolutely loves Christmas. For Christmas of 2016, Missy went to Boston to spend the holiday with family while Danny was supposed to go to Michigan to spend time with his family. On Christmas Eve morning, Missy's sister led her into the living room where the Christmas tree was and Danny was standing by the tree!

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR DRESS: I tried on a lot of beautiful dresses with lovely details like patterns, lace, beading but they did not feel like me. When I tried on the very simple Theia dress, the simplicity of it felt and looked so beautiful. The shape and crepe fabric were the perfect combination.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT FROM YOUR WEDDING? Seeing Danny at the end of the aisle as I walked down; also our first dance.

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: Greenery including seeded eucalyptus, rosemary, scented geranium with white blooms as accents.

WHAT WAS YOUR WEDDING COLOR PALETTE? Shades of green with ivory, gold, and navy accents.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON PLANS: We went to Belize and sat on the beach, snorkeled, jumped off waterfalls and drank fruity drinks.

WHAT DOES LIFE LOOK LIKE AFTER THE WEDDING? We didn't live together before getting married, so we are working on making his apartment our home together.

WERE THERE ANY PERSONAL TOUCHES OR DIY ELEMENTS? I designed the place cards, menus & signs myself; my dad made the wooden place card holders; we had some 'mad lib' advice sheets for guests to fill out.

IS THERE ANY ADVICE YOU'D GIVE TO OTHERS PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Enjoy it! It is such a special time. And do what you want, it's your wedding and no one else's.

ANY WEDDING PLANNING REGRETS YOU'D DO DIFFERENTLY? Nothing! Even though some things didn't go as planned, the day was perfect because we were celebrating being together with everyone we love!
