East Elm Photography brings us a beautiful and timeless affair, held at The Madison Club, featuring neutral tones and lush florals. Stunning backdrops and an intimate feel brought together with pieces from Event Essentials, allowed the green and white florals, from Daffodil Parker, to transport guests into a day of luxury as they draped from the ceiling. Food and a classic white cake, provided by The Madison Club, were feasted on by guests. Afterward, the party continued with music supplied by Juke Box Bandstand. This event, filled with love and classic elegance, is one you won't want to miss. Make sure to read below to learn more about this beautiful day!

WEDDING DATE: 06/26/2018

HOW DID YOU MEET? We met the modern way, on an online dating site and had our first date at Caribou Coffee. We were both amazed by how comfortable we felt with each other right away and talked long after the cafe closed.

HOW DID YOU KNOW YOU HAD FOUND "THE ONE"? I knew Bill was the one because of how understanding and compassionate he is. I can be my true self around him. Bill knew I was the one by seeing how much I care for others.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: We became engaged during a weekend trip to Door County. Bill made plans to take me to a Fish Boil at the White Gull Inn, where his grandparents went for their honeymoon. Before dinner, we went for a walk at Sunset Beach, and that is where Bill proposed.

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR DRESS: I had appointments set up at several locations with my sister and mom helping me. There were several styles of dresses I tried on but when I put on "the one" I just knew it. The gown was a ball gown with no lace or embellishment. My veil was long but had rhinestones throughout -- a modern take on a ball gown and veil.

WERE THERE ANY PERSONAL TOUCHES OR DIY ELEMENTS? We had a memory table and framed pictures of our family who could not be with us.

WHAT WAS YOUR WEDDING COLOR PALETTE? Pale grey for the bridesmaids, navy for the groomsmen, and white for all of the flowers.

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS:  We wanted a very neutral palette for the flowers but added succulents for a touch of natural greenery in the bouquets.  On the fireplace mantle, we had cascading flowers again in neutral shades. For dinner, the tables were covered in white floral arrangements with greenery draping down from the ceiling with tons of candles everywhere.

WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION/DESIGN CONCEPT FOR YOUR OVERALL CEREMONY AND RECEPTION DECOR? Whimsical and neutral with the glow of candles.

DID YOU USE ANY SPECIALTY CHAIRS, LINENS, CHARGERS, GLASSWARE OR DINNERWARE? We wanted our dinner to feel like we were having a special meal with family and friends, so we used long farm tables to create a more intimate feel.

TELL US ABOUT THE FOOD, DESSERT AND ANY SPECIALTY BEVERAGES ON THE MENU: The Madison Club did a great job with the food and beverages. They helped us create a specialty cherry champagne cocktail that was a nod to Door County where we were engaged.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT FROM YOUR WEDDING? We were sitting at our sweetheart table during dinner and had the perfect view of all of our family and friends. It was so touching to us to be able to celebrate with all of our loved ones, and it was nice to have time during dinner with just the two of us to reflect on the day.

WHAT DOES LIFE LOOK LIKE AFTER THE WEDDING? We are enjoying spending time as newlyweds in Madison and have recently started the house hunting process.

ANY WEDDING PLANNING REGRETS OR SOMETHING YOU WOULD DO DIFFERENTLY? None!

IS THERE ANY ADVICE YOU'D GIVE TO OTHER COUPLES PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? It's never too early to start planning but do not sweat the small stuff. Most of all, give yourself time on your schedule for your wedding day so that you can be present in the moment.
