Romantic peony florals from the bride's own garden along with ceremony seating, restoring the barn and a bar for the reception all built by the groom, played a huge part in the overall design of this Wisconsin family farm wedding. From mix n' match dresses to large, organic bouquets, rentals from Event Essentials, Bucky's Rentals and vintage china collected by the bride, see the full day captured beautifully by Wisconsin wedding photographer, Azena Photography. Also including some amazing aerial shots of the farm all right here.

WEDDING DATE:  06/02/2018

HOW DID YOU MEET?  Online.

HOW DID YOU KNOW HE/SHE WAS "THE ONE"? I knew after about a month of dating that Steve was the one...we just clicked and we had so many of the same values.

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR DRESS: I went to two dress shops on the same day with my mother, sister and future mother-in-law. I had a specific style in mind. The first shop didn't have what I was looking for so we went to my second appointment at Mara's Elegant Bridal. Mara's had the perfect dress and when she put the lace jacket on over the dress, I knew it was the one. I never wore the dress without the jacket...I felt the jacket completed the look I was going for.

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: Large peony flowers and buds. Simple with no fussy fillers.

WERE THERE ANY PERSONAL TOUCHES OR DIY ELEMENTS? Yes, the ceremony seating was made by Steve as well as restoring the barn and building a bar for the reception. A majority of the peonies came from our garden and all the bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres were made by me, my sister and my sister-in-law.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT FROM YOUR WEDDING? After the ceremony, walking down a long path we mowed with my husband, the plane flying overhead and having all my nieces and nephews running towards us in excitement.

WHAT WAS YOUR WEDDING COLOR PALETTE? Neutral tones with a hint of pink.

Wisconsin wedding photographer, Hillary of Azena PHotography says, "Not only is Bri a professional photographer, but she also lives on a beautiful farm where Steve built her an amazing studio. It was the perfect wedding venue! The entire area is set up to take photos. It was so much fun being able to take advantage of all their beautiful landscaping, bluffs, available light studio, and a gorgeous old barn where they had their reception!

I first got to see their little plot of heaven when I went out for their engagement session last fall. The barn wasn't quite ready yet, but Steve put a lot of hard work into it and now it has wonderful flooring, a bar
and lots of space to party! I'm sure Bri has lots of plans to use it for all her gorgeous families and senior sessions."

DID YOU USE ANY SPECIALTY CHAIRS, TABLES, LINENS, DINNERWARE OR GLASSWARE? I collected vintage china to use as my dinner plates, dessert plates, coffee cups, and saucers.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON PLANS: We rented a cottage by the water in Ellison Bay, Door County for a week.

WHAT DOES LIFE LOOK LIKE AFTER THE WEDDING? We got right to work starting a family and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first child in March!

IS THERE ANY ADVICE YOU'D GIVE TO OTHERS PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Make it your own...if someone tells you how a wedding is supposed to go, do it your own way.

ANY WEDDING PLANNING REGRETS YOU'D DO DIFFERENTLY? Absolutely nothing. It was the most perfect day of our lives and we can't imagine how we could have made it any better.
