Whitney met Dan out at a local bar where she went with a few friends to dance the night away. "My husband was at the bar to visit his friend who used to bartend there. My husband was /is not one to hit the dance floor, but I managed to persuade him to join me for a couple songs later in the evening. My mother-in-law still can't believe it," says Whitney. PROPOSAL Dan and Whitney took their first adventure together as a couple to Negril, Jamaica with Dan's mom and her significant other Gordie. On the second night before dinner, Dan asked Whitney to walk along the beach with her. How romantic! Only for Whitney to initially decline because she was wearing heels and did not want to risk falling (yes, she already tripped once in the hotel room). Dan was able to twist Whitney's arm finally and after walking a short distance, he dropped down to his knee on the beach. A local happened to be running by and shouted, I like where this is going mon! Once they turned around to head to the restaurant, a sweet couple approached them and said they caught the entire proposal from their balcony. The couple happened to be on their honeymoon and they emailed the photos they took to Dan & Whitney. Adorable!
Growing up in a family that owns a landscaping business, flowers were very important to Whitney. With a color palette of white, shades of blush pink and earthy greens, the tables were dressed in all white linens and eucalyptus greenery cascading down them.
