When the bride, Tessa has worked in the wedding industry at Vera's House of Bridals for years - you know her style will be on point in one gorge wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses in muted tones. Located at the stunning Wisconsin Dells wedding venue, Trappers Turn Golf Club, this outdoor summer wedding ceremony enhanced the natural beauty of the serene surroundings using unique floral design elements for a romantic look. B-Style Floral created a jaw-dropping backdrop for the couple's nuptials, wrapping an arch with pretty, blooming garlands. For the reception, with minimalist centerpieces for an ethereal statement and acrylic escort cards and signage - for modern accent pieces. Copper Antler Photography captured the gorgeous wedding fete and it's all waiting for you right here.
WEDDING DATE: 07/28/18
HOW DID YOU MEET? Mutual friends in high school introduced us.
HOW DID YOU KNOW HE/SHE WAS "THE ONE"? We just knew! Sometimes it is really that easy. But we were young and wanted to finish our schooling and start our careers, so we continued to get to know and love each other.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: From working at Vera's for so long, I have heard every possible proposal story and so I thought that I would be able to see it coming from a mile away. However, he managed to pull it off and it was so sweet. I would come home from school every weekend and work, work on the house a bit and spend some time with Dexter. Every Sunday morning we always made a big breakfast together. One morning, he decided he couldn't wait any longer and he popped the question in our kitchen over our breakfast together.
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR DRESS: I have worked at Vera's in Madison for about 6 years. I am currently the Business Development Manager and I love the store. There was no question about where I was getting it. I brought my family and wedding party in. It was the best day! I never thought I would still be able to feel like a bride after being in the industry for so long. I was so wrong. The store is beautiful and the experience is out of this world. Add the most beautiful dress I've seen to that and it makes for an easy and beautiful day. Not only was I able to get my dress in that appointment, but both my mom and mother-in-law found their dresses which were also gorgeous, and my 6 bridesmaids did as well. It couldn't have gone any better!
DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: My favorite piece!! Natalie at B-Style went above and beyond. She used eucalyptus runners with greens and white roses mixed in. MY bouquet was natural in colors but dramatic in size. Our arch had the most beautiful floral arrangement on it. The petals were scattered across the aisle. There were flowers on every table. The corsages were perfect.
WERE THERE ANY PERSONAL TOUCHES OR DIY ELEMENTS? The signs, place cards, the programs, everything.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT FROM YOUR WEDDING? We didn't do a first look. I did with my dad and brothers as we are all super close. Our ceremony was at 3:30. After the wedding party made it up to the arch, my brother and his best man had Dexter turn around. That way my dad and I could make it up to the aisle before my brother tapped his shoulder for him to turn around and see me for the first time on our wedding day. That moment when he first looked at me and we locked eyes from opposite ends of the aisle, that was my favorite moment. That is what we had been waiting and planning for and it was worth the wait!
TELL US ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON PLANS: We are going to a Sandals Resort in Jamaica this winter and are so excited for the time away in the sun!
WHAT DOES LIFE LOOK LIKE AFTER THE WEDDING? We have our time back! We have been going on more dates and spending more time working on finishing our home together.
IS THERE ANY ADVICE YOU'D GIVE TO OTHERS PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Must have a day of wedding coordinator, so you can sit back and enjoy the day you worked so hard on planning!
DID YOU USE ANY SPECIALTY CHAIRS, LINENS, DINNERWARE OR GLASSWARE? Nope, I worked with Trapper's to get the look I wanted with my centerpieces. Everything was perfect!
