Wisconsin and farm weddings kind of go hand in hand. Add beautiful horses AND A KANGAROO to the mix and it will make for the most uniquely gorgeous wedding. In keeping with the rustic backdrop of Emily's Ten Oaks Ranch, this cozy celebration included yard games, cute farm animals, a popcorn station, escort card mason jars and live music to dance the night away. Take a peek at the gallery below from Abbots Lane Photography filled with chic blooms and a simple but oh-so-sweet looking cake from Hy-Vee

WEDDING DATE: 08/27/16

HOW DID YOU MEET? We first met at work when I joined the accounting firm that Todd was working at

HOW DID YOU KNOW HE WAS "THE ONE"? It was all about the "feels." Conversations came easy and whenever we crossed paths my heart would flutter and I couldn't help but smile.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Todd had to go to South Carolina for a work trip over New Year's Eve (2015), so we decided to make a mini New Year's get-away of it and flew down together. On New Year's Eve, we had dinner reservations. Before dinner, Todd asked if I wanted to go for a walk along the river. During the walk, we stopped off at a look-out point and he pulled me off to the side, got down on his knee and proposed. I'm not sure we'll ever be able to top that New Year's Eve!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR DRESS: It was all about the lace!

WERE THERE ANY PERSONAL TOUCHES OR DIY ELEMENTS? The venue allowed us to bring our two horses so they could be there for people to spend time with and for us to have photos with. We also designed our own rings - I loved the vintage look of rose gold so my ring is a mix of rose gold and white gold.

DID YOU USE ANY SPECIALTY DINNERWARE, CHAIRS, LINENS OR GLASSWARE? Our dinnerware was antique, mismatched flower-patterned china provided by the venue. It was beautiful!

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT FROM YOUR WEDDING? Walking down the aisle towards my soon-to-be husband. It was such an emotional and intimate moment for me. Everything felt perfect in so many ways.
