The hunt is over for Kami and Jesse in their Wisconsin Fall wedding combined with rich tones of burgundy, blush, and grey with touches of greenery and deer antlers. HOW DID YOU MEET? Through showing cows.
HOW DID YOU KNOW HE/SHE WAS "THE ONE?" Just connected, so much in common, but one night we left a party early to go eat pizza - comfortable to be fat and open with each other.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Jesse told me the cows were out and we had to go herd them back. He set out sheds in the field (deer antlers) that were personalized with "the perfect match" and when I came across them, he proposed.
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR DRESS: I knew when I felt completely comfortable in it and felt confident.
WERE THERE ANY PERSONAL TOUCHES OR DIY ELEMENTS? I wore a birdcage and a big gorgeous detailed headband.
DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: Unsymmetrical, leafy, with a boho style, ivory with antlers in the bouquets. Very neutral, nature.
DID YOU USE ANY SPECIALTY TABLES, CHAIRS, LINENS OR DINNERWARE? We had ivory linens with dark green table runners. Our plastic cups and napkins were personalized.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT FROM YOUR WEDDING? The entire day was so perfect. But one of the tops was our first dance, surprisingly. My husband says when he first saw me that day, coming down the aisle. (That shocks me!)
TELL US ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON PLANS: We got married in Fall and this Spring went to Mexico with some friends. So we decided to wait on a honeymoon and are planning a hunting trip.
WHAT DOES LIFE LOOK LIKE AFTER THE WEDDING? Teamwork. Non-stop teamwork. Whether it be towards each other's goals or everyday tasks, we are a team.
IS THERE ANY ADVICE YOU'D GIVE TO OTHERS PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Get a day of wedding planner, and everything always works out come the day. Also, we had a short engagement, which stressed me at first but I'm extremely happy we did. A year is too long to be stressing over a day that goes by way too fast.
